Restaurant high chair time!

Kendall hasn't been out to eat with us for quite some time. In the past, when we went to dinner, she'd either sit in her car seat or we'd hold her. So last nite was the first time we actually tried putting her in a restaurant high chair. I think she liked it. She just sat there & played with her toys.

Our sweet girl

Andrea sent me these pics last week. I just forgot to put them on here. I had a dress on her that day & Andrea told me K was getting frustrated cuz she was trying to crawl & the dress was getting in the way.
Kendall is clapping now too! YAY! I've been showing her how to do it, but I'm not sure if she learned it from me or she just does it and doesn't really know what she's doing.

An interesting concept

"What is my mom giving me now??"

This little contraption is called a mesh feeder. I think it's a great invention. You can put small foods in it like melon, carrots, berries, ice chips, etc & then it snaps shut so babies can't choke on the foods. Then the baby can just suck on the mesh part & get the flavor of the item. Genius!

Appt with Dermatologist

Kendall had another appt with the Derm yesterday. She thinks the hemangioma has gotten slightly bigger, as it's now starting to cross her "cupid's bow" on her lip. She still thinks it will go away on its own. We are to continue with the steroid cream for the next 2 months and then we'll be finished with that. We don't have to go back and see the Dr unless her lip would start to get worse. Otherwise, it's just kind of a waiting game to see what happens with it. She said if Kendall is 2 or 3 yrs old and still has it, that we can look into having surgery to have it removed. I'm not too worried about. I might be more worried if the Dr actually was. It doesn't seem to bother K at all. If it was bothering her, obvsly we'd need a more aggressive treatment. So we'll just see. She was being a little ham at the office and smiling at all the nurses & the Dr.

A visit with Melissa & Patrick

My cousin, Melissa & her husband, Patrick came down from Milwaukee for a short visit before heading up to Iowa. I'm glad they were able to come over to our house last night & it was good to see them. They met Kendall for the 1st time. We had a good time eating waffle bowl sundaes, chatting & playing scattergories.

I like celery!

One way to keep Kendall entertained for a little while is to give her a celery stick to chew on. It probably feels good on her gums. Speaking of gums, she is still toothless! I think she has finally figured out crawling on her knees though. Although most of the time she still army crawls all over. She is also starting to pull up on things now too. Now we're in for it!
Last week, I bought puffs for K to try. Puffs are just small, light snacks made with whole grains. They are kinda similar to cheerios. They are suppose to dissolve in your baby's mouth & your baby doesn't need teeth to eat them. I tried one to see how well they dissolve before giving it to K, but I didn't think they really did. So anyway, I gave her one and she "gummed" it like one time & then just swallowed it & kinda gagged on it. That scared me a little so I don't think she's ready for them. I frequent a baby message board online & someone suggested I just give her a little piece of one because they aren't used to the texture. So I might try that next.

8 Months Old!

I love this pic! I think her smile looks so cute.

Andrea sent me these pics of Kendall playing with a dollhouse today. She said she played with it for like an hour.

and I can not believe K is 8 months old today. Where the heck has this year gone?? I mean, they already have FALL stuff in the stores!

Kendall's 1st laptop

Kendall is always interested in Jason's laptop so I decided to buy her one of her own last week. A toy one, of course! Obviously, it looks nothing like the real thing. She seems to like it though. She likes to lay on her belly & press all the buttons and it even has a little red mouse.

Cardinals Game

Last night we went to the Cards game with Lenny, Gretch & Bella. This was Bella's 1st time going to a game. I think she had a fun time. We get to our seats and she says "Bunny Rabbit!" It was actually Fredbird down on the field. We told her "No, that is Fredbird!" Then she was calling him "Deadbird". Too funny. In case you're wondering where Miss Kendall was, my parents watched her for the evening.
