I was trying to think of something "different" to give Jason for his 1st Father's Day. Then I had the brilliant idea to ask my friend, Nikki, if she'd do a photo shoot with just me & Kendall. She said she'd love to. This was all secret, of course. Jason never had a clue until I told him. It helps to be off on Fridays though while J is at work. :) So anyway, I hope you enjoy these pictures. I printed some of them out for Jason's gift and put them in frames. I thought he would like them for his desk at work.

Kendall is growing like a weed. She sure is getting long. She's really been "talking" up a storm lately too, especially yesterday. She eats her solid foods like a champ. I think she has been through all the Stage 1 Gerber foods now--Peas, green beans, sweet potatos, squash, carrots, applesauce, pears, peaches & bananas. She is probably getting sick of those. She also likes rice cereal & oatmeal. We are gonna try some of the little dinner ones, these include the turkey rice one and a vegetable beef one. I'm pretty confident she will like them. She has liked every food we've given her so far. Her best buddy is Rascal. She is always trying to pet him & cracks up at him. The other day she was holding onto his leg. Rascal likes to run away from her. I really don't blame him, just wait til she can crawl! :)

So we took Kendall up to our subdivision pool today. She didn't seem to mind the water, but she didn't love it either. I thought the water was a good temperature. She had fun in her turtle float. She got bold and leaned forward and was trying to put her face in the opening in front (it holds water) of her. Silly girl.

I got a souvenir!

My aunt, Kirstie, went to Daytona Beach, Fl for her Senior Trip. She brought me back this little outfit! Don't I look cute??

6 month Dr appt

These are some pics I took last weekend at Kendall's baptism luncheon. I love the little cherry dress! (Go figure!).

Kendall went to the Dr for her 6 month appt last Friday. She did very well, as she usually does. She got 2 shots. She weighed 16 lbs, 3.5 oz and is 27 1/4 inches long. She is in the 55 percentile for her weight & the 94 percentile for her height. I think she's going to be tall! The Dr said she looked good. :)

6 Months Old!! REALLY???

Classic Kendall, Always trying to put her dress in her mouth!

I can't believe Kendall is already 1/2 a year old!! Where did the time go?? It seems like I was just pregnant. Last year at this time, I was just going to my 1st Dr appt & getting my 1st ultrasound. Gretchen likes to laugh at me cuz every month I tell her, "I like Kendall at this age the best so far!" Then she says "You say that every month!" I said, "Yea, you are right, I do, except I don't think I said it during the 1st and 2nd months!" haha.

Well, we had a very busy weekend!! My Grandmas' and Aunts' came to St Louis for Kirsten's high school graduation & Kendall's Baptism. We were very glad they were able to come down for both occasions. It was so nice to see them. I will post Baptism pics another day.

2nd Appt with Pediatric Dermatologist

Yesterday, I took Kendall to the Ped Derm to have her hemangioma on her lip looked at again. My personal opinion had been that it had not gotten any smaller & looked the same. The Dr thinks it has gotten a little bigger because she took a measurement of it each time we've been there. She is still not super concerned about it. She still thinks it will go away on its own. So we are just continuing with the steroid cream for now. We'll go back to see her in another couple months. Kendall was soo good at the appt. She was being all smiley with the Dr. I'm really glad too because our appt time was 3pm and we didn't leave there til 4:30, plus it was super hot in the office.
